A certificate of “urban planning legality” (certificate of legality) will be compulsory for all properties that are transferred after the publication of the law on the settlement of illegal properties.
As defined in the law passed by the Plenary of the Parliament, in every transfer in life or creation of a real right (for example a mortgage) in a property that will be made after the entry into force of the law, a responsible statement of the owner and an engineer’s certificate shall be attached, with which it is assured that there is no arbitrary construction and no unauthorized uses are installed. The above regulation does not concern inheritances.
